Reg, a jolly, good-humoured fellow is married to the controlling, highly-strung Mother of two, Sarah.

His career-driven sister Ruth is in a strained marriage with the wayward Norman, an assistant Librarian and wannabe lothario. Trying to balance a successful career in business with having to intervene in Norman's indiscretions is proving a step too far! Youngest sister Annie is also unlucky in love; she lives in the family home to take care of their bed-ridden Mother whilst being (unsuccessfully and half-heartedly) wooed by the local veterinarian and neighbour, Tom.

When Annie agrees to go away for a weekend with troublesome Norman, Reg and Sarah are brought in to look after Mother, with chaotic and hilarious results! Will any of them ever recover?

Table Manners is part of the Norman Conquests trilogy and tales place in the dining room. Each play stands alone, and is set over one weekend, dovetailing into each other.
